   The Sportster, which never lost its connection with racing, was being shown in a much sportier (pun intended) light
    So the only thing left was to take a look at an example of both bikes 30 years later and see how they stack up against each other, except that would be unfair because the Sportster is still basically the same bike it was over 30 years ago while the Triumph is a brand new bike built with modern technology sharing only a name and logo with its original design. But that doesn't mean we can't have some fun playing the two against each other, er.ah testing, yeah that's what we meant, testing, not playing.
