It's Oscar night in Hollywood 1935, and the skies are awash with sweeping floodlights painting a path to the mortal stars below. Opulence and grandeur spill out beyond the silver screen. Inhabitants of post-Depression America want glamour, in excess, to help them forget their own everyday toils and the uneasy road ahead.
Were that crowd alive and gathered today, they'd be lauding Andrew Peters' Elegant, a hybrid, art deco Harley inspired by the sight of a 1935 Auburn Speedster once owned by Marlene Dietrich.
